Walter Kirn is an American novelist, literary critic, and essayist. He is the author of eight books, most notably Up in the Air, which was made into a film of the same name starring George Clooney.

Workshop Details
Professor Karen E. Fisher and Phoebe Brand taught the first Trauma-Informed Care course at the University of Washington iSchool to MLIS students. The class aimed to prepare LIS students for the realities of the library workplace, including the trauma faced by patrons and staff.
